MNsure’s Technology Modernization

In late June, MNsure is scheduled to launch a new eligibility and enrollment platform designed to enhance the experience for consumers who are eligible for qualified health plans (QHPs). All certified assister partners will be required to use their new portal accounts to assist their MNsure QHP consumers. The modernized system features a new portal that allows assisters to work directly with QHP consumers to provide full-service support, including: 

  • Creating accounts
  • Submitting applications
  • Uploading verifications
  • Enrolling in coverage
  • Reporting changes
  • Correcting applications
  • Opening special enrollment periods (SEPs)
  • Viewing notices
  • Managing coverage

Additionally, QHP consumers and assisters will have enhanced opportunities to connect and associate, including:

  • Consumers with a MNsure account can send a request to work with an assister through the new assister directory to create an association.
  • Assisters can connect by creating an account for a new consumer.
  • Assisters can initiate an association with a consumer who has already submitted an application.

Required Training: In preparation for the transition to MNsure’s new eligibility and enrollment system, all certified partners must complete the 2026-27 Data Security, Accessibility, Compliance and Ethics training. Instructions for completing the training were emailed to all certified partners on April 1. This course is similar to the annual recertification training and is required for gaining access to the new eligibility and enrollment system. To ensure uninterrupted support for both existing and new QHP consumers, the training must be completed by June 1, 2026. Request for Updated Information: It is critical that MNsure has accurate email addresses for our assisters and consumers prior to the launch of the new system. Watch closely for upcoming communications that will outline the additional information MNsure needs from our assister partners and how you can help consumers with updating their information.
