This fall will be MNsure’s first experience with using our new system (MN-EES) for the annual renewal process. An initial step is an informational “pre-renewal” notice to consumers currently enrolled in coverage through MNsure. The notice includes key messages to prepare consumers for this open enrollment, including:

• Open enrollment starts November 1, 2026, and ends January 15, 2027. 
• A reminder that MNsure has a new eligibility and enrollment system and steps for claiming their online account.
• Which members of their household are currently enrolled and can renew coverage during open enrollment.
• Steps the consumer should take, including updating their household information if anything has changed and reviewing whether their current plan meets their needs.
• What steps MNsure will take to renew their coverage and additional information the consumer will receive during the process. 

The notice will also include information about “Your Agent” or “Your Assister” if the consumer has an association in MN-EES with a broker, navigator or CAC.

The notice is scheduled to be generated on Tuesday, September 9. Consumers will receive the notice based on their preferred method of delivery (mail or email). The notice will also be available in the secure “My Inbox” in the consumer’s MN-EES account. Assisters can see the notice by viewing the accounts of their associated consumers.
